Sweet little Kholbey has Cerebral Palsy, and needs a wheelchair to get around. She lives in a loving home with her parents and 3 siblings. Her family faces many challenges, both financial and medical, and ARK is proud to be able to help ease their daily burdens.
Her family lives in a mobile home, and we are pleased to be able to build a new wheelchair ramp to help her enter her home.
Construction began quickly, scheduled to begin in early November. Such efficiency is made possible to the continued commitment and generosity of McBride Career Group and their partnership with SAIT. Together, they descended on Kholbey’s home with a virtual army of students to build the ramp in record time.
Thanks to in-kind donations of lumber and funds from our generous community members, Kholbey’s ARK Home Accessibility Renovation was not only a success, it set some impressive new speed records!
